The Wera Kraftform Kompakt SH1 Plumb Kit is a compact tool set containing the 20 most important screwdriving tools for plumbing and heating applications. Wera has selected each tool in the kit to make the job easier, whether servicing a boiler, fitting plumbing fixtures or radiators, or even installing solar panels. At the core of the kit is the Wera Zyklop Ratchet with 1/4 drive. This is a robust, multi-functional and high-speed ratchet that is designed to save you both time and effort when driving and removing fasteners.
The Zyklop is actually 6 tools in one and can be used as a: Fine-Tooth Ratchet, Flex-Head Ratchet, Angle Ratchet, Quick-Release Ratchet, Power Ratchet, Screwdriver (When Used With 1/4 Zyklop Adaptor). The ratchet head pivots freely to provide enhanced hand clearance especially when working in confined or awkward places. The head can also be locked at 0, 15 and 90 left and right to prevent it from slipping and causing knuckle injury. A simple thumbwheel makes it easy to quickly switch between clockwise and anticlockwise operation regardless of the head position. Using a 1/4 Zyklop adaptor and with the head in the 0 degree position, the ratchet can take a bit and be used like a conventional screwdriver. The Zyklop has been designed to make work quicker and easier than ever thanks to its rotating mass design. Combined with the rotationally symmetrical Kraftform handle this provides the increased momentum needed to accelerate the screw-driving process. The reversible ratchet with its 72 fine-pitched teeth has a small return angle of only 5 degree. This short stroke means you can work faster even in confined spaces. The patented spin sleeve allows you to provide added support whilst rotating the handle and allows you to speed tighten screws and bolts.For use with the Zyklop ratchet the set includes 3 of the most common socket sizes; 7mm, 10mm and 13mm, plus a 1/4 screwdriver bit adaptor and 6 assorted 89mm long screwdriver bits. There is also a range of 6 Torx HF screwdriver bits with holding function that can be used with the Zyklop ratchet or your power drill. The holding function on the Torx HF bits is thanks to a special optimised geometry of the original Torx profile and ensures that the screw is held securely onto the bit to avoid falling off while working and potentially becoming lost. Wera have included the most common sizes from their Joker ratchet spanner range; a 10mm and 13mm size in this set, which do eveything a coventional wrench can do plus a whole lot more.
A hardened metal gripping stop plate on the head of the Joker which serves a number of purposes. Firstly it carries out a holding function to ensure that nuts and bolts are held in the jaw and can be easily positioned where they are needed, bringing an end to dropped nuts or bolts.
The fastening of the nut or bolt can then be carried out quickly and safely thanks to the stop-plate that holds the fastener in place. The stop plate also acts as an integrated limit-stop to prevent the Joker slipping off the fastener head.
No longer is the thumb needed to act as a depth stop when fastening, preventing risks of personal injury and damage to the fastener head. This limit-stop not only makes things much easier, especially when working in confined spaces, but also allows much more force to be applied to the fastener. Each Joker combination spanner is made from high performance chrome molybdenum steel, which combined with a nickel-chrome coating will ensure a longer service life, high wear resistance and protection against corrosion. A special double-hex geometry delivers a very positive connection between the Joker and nuts or bolts. The gripping plate within the head bites into the bolt with its extremely hard tips. These features act in combination to prevent unpleasant slipping even at higher torque.The ratcheting function at the ring end has a fine tooth mechanism with 80 teeth to provide greater flexibility. Conventional wrenches have a return angle of 60 degrees, meaning that they have to be turned over again and again to tighten and loosen nuts or bolts. By comparison, thanks to the double-hex geometry the Joker has a return angle of just 30 degrees. Along with its straight neck, this means that nuts and bolts can be tightened and loosened in situations where conventional wrenches cannot cope. Particularly useful when working in confined spaces.
An assortment of other screwdrivers rounds off the contents of the Wera Plumb Kit. For electrical work there is a voltage detector plus two VDE approved insulated screwdrivers that are safe for live electrical work up to 1000V AC, with the smaller size having a reduced blade diameter for accessing sunken screws or spring elements.Two nut driver screwdrivers, 10mm and 13mm, can be used with hexagon headed bolts, screws or nuts. They also have a hollow shaft to allow them to be used with threaded rods, as the threaded rod can pass through the nut into the hollow shaft of the screwdriver.
Finally there is a 1.2 x 7.0mm slotted Chiseldriver screwdriver that can be used for screwdriving jobs plus simple chiseling jobs thanks to the integrated impact cap that has a high resistance to wear. A pound-thru hexagonal blade allows direct transfer between the cap and blade for loss-free torque transfer. Made from a high-grade bit material it is also coated to prevent any splintering from occurring. An integrated hexagonal bolster allows a spanner to be used with the screwdriver for even higher torque transfer. All of the screwdrivers as well as the Zyklop ratchet feature Wera's ergonomic Kraftform handle, that fits comfortably in the hand with special hard and soft zones to provide better turning power with less effort and make repeated turning easier.
